Seen episode 2 yesterday, and it confirms something I was afraid of: Elementor is changed into "the Elementors", each of one element.
Now, while it doesn't totally feel like Max Steel (and his father, despite still being named Jim, seems to not be Big Jim as in the old series), it still have some positive things: Max quickly tells his feelings to the gal he likes, so we won't suffer a tedious "I like her, but she dates the sport jock" or something like that. Another cliche that gets subverted is the "clueless mom" as Molly McGrath results to be a former N-Tek agent and finds about Max's powers when two Elementors capture Max.
But there's a negative point unrelated to changes, too: the part where Berto tests Max against some robots (prototypes for Cytro, maybe?) is too long for a mere training scene.
