Practically nobody posts on any customs I make. My last SDCC Shockwave custom got frontpaged on Hisstank yet only one reply here.

It's always been that way. I do wonder if the stats are skewed by google bots and the like. I think we lost momentum in the crash and it will build up speed again, it was the same last time. Also the lack of a Colouring Project release has not helped, I think I'll abandon this strip and move on to the next one.

Let's not forget that a lot of this year's talk was focussed on the convention, that will be the same this year no doubt. I also have more than a few plans that will gain international attention. I didn't hype the Q&A with Bob on the other sites, I could have but really that one was for us alone.

I'll be doing a site-wide update and new layout tor the 10th anniversary in February and hopefully announcing my convention exclusives again, I'll do a mass mailshot and mass forum notification like I did last year. Sadly no time to do another dio but we do have the BAF 30th anniversary in February to plan too. I think another prize draw as the last one was ace.

Yes, it's quiet but I'm not worried. BFTB will endure and there are some great things in the pipeline!

i'm probably one of the transients! This year has just been nuts for me wedding, selling and buying houses etc. I probably just have enough time to look around a bit and not enough time to comment. Hopefully it'll be a bit different in 2013.

On a positive note I have been getting my collection out and on display in the garage. Things are coming together slowly but surely!

And as Jim said it did take a while after the last crash to get the speed up again.

I often view a thread many times before posting comments or making any suggestions...thus bumping up a viewed count.

I'm also bad at posting comments but it can be a pita typing on the phone and the predictive txt drives me nuts. A few times i've posted when pissed and sometimes my comments verge on the inappropriate but that's just me.
I don't visit many sites but seems to be generally quiet across the board.
Are there too many new modern ways to communicate? Email, tweets, social networks etc?
We've lost some pretty hardcore members over the last couple of years, peeps who were a real inspiration to me but we still have some troopers and hopefully get some fresh meat.
Here's to 2013.
Blood for the Baron!!!

I'll make comments as and when I view a thread, some threads I read and have nothing To say at all on said subject, I don't see the point in making a response when it is meaningless for example 'your action figure has green slacks on I own a pair of slacks' that kind of thing, it is irrelevant.

Fair comments guys. I am by no means perfect myself. I just seem to find myself wondering who are those people which never make a reply at all on anything? I was hoping that this post might help some to come forward with their point of view etc Fingers crossed but I won't hold my breath :)

Red Baron and Eddie have it sorted. You can't force people. As I told Ed a while ago, if I don't comment its not because I don't like them, its because I'd be repeating myself. TBH the 25th stuff does little for me, I just don't like them much. So if I comment on one of DH's you know its peaked my interest. Also have the added problem of not enough time in the day, especially at work.

All I'd say is don't stress about it and if you are going to do customs, do them for your sake. I know I do.

Indeed it's not that it's not appreciated it might be that there is nothing to say, I suggest perhaps
A like button so at least you would know you dig their work.

Customs are not my cup of tea, so I hardly ever reply.

My point exactly.
