There's another theory if we change the i from the last word to an o: the artist was shot, so his dying hand slipped and accidentally created the "fin"

Chopper wrote:Skeltron is also a Robot, so I'd say he was fashioned after the logo, or a Zargonite. Robert hit the nail on the head with fine nerd thinking (well done). So its gotta be a Zargonite. As sure as Red Laser is a ninja.
They've just scaled down the zargonite logo.

I can't take the credit - it's from the (pre-Action Force) Action Man Space Ranger sets.

Maybe it was based on Egil Skallgrimmsson, the eponymous star of the Icelandic saga, who had Paget's disease that leads to a lot of ridges along the (usually quite large) skull ... notoriously his remains were dug up nearly a 1000 years after his death and survived an axe blow. Egil was handy in a fight and a poet. And when he was a little kid he killed an older rude infant at an ice hockey match with an axe. This was considered ok as he was insulted. These are values :baron: or :major: might appreciate.

On the other hand that Zargonite logo looks very similar.
