He's a major player in the comics for a short period of time; he takes control of Cobra from Cobra Commander, then gets shot by an arrow. He pops up in the Devils' Due comics a bit, and in their GI Joe/Transformers crossover as well.
He's in (I think) 1 original Marvel UK AF story, in Action Force Monthly; but that was a lead-in into the animated movie.

Wasn't there a transformer-joe crossover comic in 87-88?

Yup, done by Marvel; and it was diabolically bad. It was notable SOLELY for the introduction into the US TF comics of Goldbug (rebuilt from Bumblebee).

Any crossover sucks! Personally I still hate the transition from Action Force vs. Red Shadows to Action Force vs. Cobra to GI Joe vs. Cobra. As a kid that just didn't make sense to me. And it still doesn't. Too many bullsh*t was introduced to sync the two universes.

For me there are two universes:
  • Action Force vs. Red Shadows (European rather realistic stories)
  • GI Joe vs. Cobra (American super hero bullshit)
When the concept of Z, SAS, Q and Space was dropped Action Force ceased to exist.

I can understand your sentiment but I do love the crossovers when the Red shadows fight the american Joes or when the american joes team up with the European AF members to take on cobra

this is really the only acceptable crossover to me

Accept it. Because readership demands it. :najeep:

Agreed. The transition was sh*t. Eisenblut gegen :eagle2: :skip: :levi: :skyraider: rocked.
We will not see their like again.

Cobber and Duke prancing like tits was only trumped by Flint poncing along Wardour Street hand in hand with Maximus Prime or wtevr the fk he's called. Separate inferior universes.

Ever lamenting Spring 85 ad infinitum
