Is it possible to have a 'test page' to practice on? I tried colouring some of the pages posted here but when I saved them all the colours I'd added went black and white!!!
I've actually had some practice with colouring stuff, as you can see on this:



I use Serif Photoplus to build up layers of varying opacity to get the shading and lighting. I'd like to see how it works on comics.

It took me 15 minutes to do the Red Shadow in the middle and he looked okay, but as soon as I converted it to a Jpeg for uploading, it went all greyscale on me!!! Is it my software at fault or the way the images are presented on BFTB (my other artwork comes out fine normally)

what program are you using?

and ya we got lots of pages and would love for your help on this

some of the pages are in gray /black and white scale to start off with so before doing the layers you have to change it to RGB and then do the layers ( the other way will make everything come out black and white )

if its a photoshop program your using you can also send the file to me at jamarmiller@hotmail.com using www.yousendit.com and I can look at it and see what you got and see if I can figure it out .

also did you draw that pilots head? thats really good

That'll be the problem by the sound of it! I'll study my software to see what options it offers.

Thanks. Yes, back when I had a scanner I was able to draw all the pilots & drivers by hand, scan them in and paste them onto the digital sections. No longer possible now since the "Big Breakdown" of 2005 sadly...

we got to get you a new scanner then!

Well, I'd suggest downloading the latest Photoshop from Demonoid or Isohunt.

But do please co-ordinate with Jamar before colouring any pages as that story has already been done!

Indeed I will, on both counts. I was just fiddlin' with that randomly selected page to see what my software was capable of.

I suppose good test pages would be the Datafiles and Combat pages. That said Datafile I is allocated!
