Great, thank you!

What's cool is that I'm right now working on my final step of the colouring project, the debut appearance of Cobra Commander! Coincidence or cosmic alignment?

So are you the person responsible for The Return of the Red Shadows? Do you remember working on any stories in particular? Don't mind me if I start frothing - I'm still one of those kids at heart!

Wow! Frau Pine! Unglaublich! Am very surprised, so glad I dug this stuff out last year.

Have been very busy of late. Currently in Afghanistan as part of the eternal post AF-trauma therapy.

Sometimes I'm in Monterey CA so maybe we should all group-hug over in CA one day. Let's hope the other Palitoyers can add more info!

In the meantime please forgive infant precocity on the proof-reading front.

Great thread.

Slottingly,

PS. I should point out I loved AF very dearly in my youth, and somewhere in a landfill in Leicestershire there must be my undoubtedly blub stained missive that Lindy found and replied to in such detail!

Unknown - Mystery G.I.Joe Figure

Pictured above is a mystery G.I.Joe action figure that was purchased from the private collection of a Hasbro employee. The only known facts about the figure are-

* It's from the same mold as the swivel-arm Flash.
* The figure is marked © 82-83 Hasbro Made in Hong Kong on the bottom of the figure. There are no other markings.
* The body is made of gray plastic and is factory painted (not hand painted).
* The backpack is all white.
* The figure was purchased from Whiz Bang Toys of Florida.
* Whiz Bang purchased it directly from Kirk Bozigian - Product Manager at Hasbro Toys in the early 1980s.

Other than that, the figure is a mystery. These are some speculations as to the intended result of the figure:

* Probably not a prototype because of the markings are present, plastic is not "multi-color",and paint appears like factory.
* The color scheme appears to match the European Action Force,Space and Aqua teams.
* Probably not a Brazilian figure because it does not have the word Estrela stamped on the back.

There is a reward for anyone who has proof of where this action figure might have been intended for - such as a catalog, a flyer, a promotional insert - anything that can categorically prove where this figure was intended to be released.

If anyone has any information about this toy, please email Ron. Thanks!

From the collection of: Ron Conner
