Re: New Doctor Who [SPOILERS]
Anyone see the latest episode tonight?
Have been waiting a while but this series finally delivers in my opinion an outstanding episode. Yes, typical Richard Curtis in places but im a sucker for that and thought it was fantastic.
I have criticisms of previous episodes not living up to their potential storywise but I think Matt Smith and the other actors have done a fantastic job throughout and have been v impressed compared to later Tenant episodes.
Think the Doctors "gift" will show up in later episodes and also that the pics of Hartnell and Troughton are more than a throw away comment...

The last one I saw was the one with the silurians, and the end was heartbreaking

Re: New Doctor Who [SPOILERS]
I wasn a huge fan of the Silurian one. The Silurians and Sea Devils are two of my favourite vintage stories and these just didnt "feel" or look like Silurians. Realise they dont have to look similar as weve had variations but the humanoid leaders really didnt cut it for me.
That aside I thought the acting was first class.

Re: New Doctor Who [SPOILERS]
The Van Gogh one was pretty good, definitely one of the best so far of this season which has been a pretty disappointing season. You could tell it was written by a good script writer and it didn't rely on lots of running about like the underground and "vampire" episodes did. Some nice ideas about Van Gogh's perception of the world. Love the bits where William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton's faces showed up and as they've used it in previous episodes I think there's definitely more to that.

Re: New Doctor Who [SPOILERS]
This sounds like it could be good, the Radio 4 drama plays featured a branch of Torchwood that was based in India..so maybe they're/where other branches spread throughout the British Empire?
This series of Dr Who has been well done overall I think, it's definitely got better as it's gone along..perhaps I'm starting to get used to Matt Smith's portrayal of the character & forgetting Tenants?

I caught up to date last night with the series and can't wait for the next episode. Here is a link with theories about the whole series and the Pandorica. http://www.denofgeek.com/television/515 ... opens.html

Re: New Doctor Who [SPOILERS]
Doctor Who ongoing plot threads reminder: 1) Amy's crack. 2) Rory's ring. 3) The Doctor's got wood.
