Maybe they got confused due to Wilder Vaughn being dressed up as Black Major in WWIII by DDP so they think the Major is the top boss? Or are they affiliating the Red Shadows with Cobra?
Spock, where the hell's the power you promised?

One damn minute, Admiral

Black Major's looking good! :-D

just a couple of things though, the gun he has looks a bit like a space ray gun and why's he got ginger hair :-? could this be a pre production photo?...

I have the merceneries box set and the only thing sealed are the weapons - the figures come out the foam packaging (though in the case of cobra mortal thats not a good thing as paint rubs even from moving him slightly)... one thing I like about the non attendee boxed sets (if they still do this) is that you get the welcome letter and itinerary as if you were there..

like others im not too keen on red torch... he doesnt look like a shadow at all even when I consider jointed customs ive seen using joe parts. I like it as a figure but in no way does it say "shadow" to me and am hoping the shadows look much more traditional. problem is I can see them using one of the later "anything"-viper head sculpts in red.

dont want to be down on this as I love the idea and appreciate the hard work people have put in here to make this happen - I will be getting a loose and bagged set somehow but when anything you love and cherish is remade or re-imagined its very hard to please every fan in every way.

still v excited about all this and am interested to see if they tie the convention vehicle in as usually happens (though please not a red hiss)...

Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you! -Conan the Cimmerian

Late to the show as ever, got to sat that this is really good news. Apologies if the point's already been covered but I really like the use of the Black Major as the leader rather than the Baron. It would have been great to see a Baron figure, but putting JS (or is it VW what with the lighter hair?) in charge makes it clear to me that this is intended as a current faction rather than a historical set.

Hope they get the Shadow's helmets right and hope Hasbro likes the idea too.

A vehicle? Could that mean a modern-day stab at the Shadowtrak? If so what Hasbro-mold vehicle would best fit?

I'd expect if anything they'll go the easy route and do a Laser Exterminator or Escape Armour.

Hmmm, you know that Red Torch has grown on me - he'd make an excellent Space Shadow. He even has a snout of sorts to fit in with Red Wolf.

I wonder if this little beauty by Andy1672 had anything to do with it?
