Maid Marian was the best.
ESPECIALLY the Shrove Tuesday episode when Barrington raps about it being P-p-p-pancake day.

sh*t yeah. It was a comedy tho. It was the idea behind "Men in tights'. Only it was really funny. Been trying to find a torrent for years to no avail. The Baron wrote:Better than Robin of Sherwood?

I like the current Robin Hood series, though I'd like to know what happened to Guy Gisborne between seasons 1 and 2 (even the charas are wondering that)

Robbin Hoodie only came about because years ago BBC tried to buy Robin of Sherwood from ITV from a paltry amount of money. BBC were jealous of the ratings ITV had from this show but ITV said no we won't sell it for that little amount of money and rightly so this was mentioned on one of the dvd commentaries from either Robin of Sherwood series one or two.
Also Robbin Hoodie and Prince of Thieves robbed the idea of a Saracen member from ITV because Nasir was very popular there has never been a Saracen member ITV admitted they made it up to make the group more diverse which was again mentioned on the dvds.

Robin Hood's one of them timeless stories/legends that each generation gives it's own spin to...give it another 20 odd years & a new, more "contemporary" version will be done, & this latest beeb series will seem just as dated as the old Errol Flynn films do now.
