Then he would be dead as they both are that's not an end I would like for Red Jackal personally. I seriously can't see where they can merge I know I thought years ago it's all the same until I read the comics but I see BAF as it's own timeline like IDW's current run on GI Joe.FrustratedPilot wrote:(Well, we know that the Marvel Action Force shifted the paradigm so as to reprint the American comics with a mimimum of "audience loss".)
What if Red Jackal became Darklon or Voltar?

as far as I'm concerned, H/MAF is just GI Joe. AF is the pallitoy stuff. from series 2. BAF comics post the changeover are a whole other timeline.
Re: Battle Action Force followed by Marvel Action Force?
Yeah, for me Action Force is
, the
and
era of Palitoy and the entire MAF era just GI Joe by another name.
Thinking about retconning the MAF birthplaces, I don't think they're even referenced in the stories. It's just the filecards that differ. I read Ancient Relics back in the day and there's nothing to suggest that Wild Bill is from Hull!

i think the only characters where there are any references to their HAF birthplaces are Footloose's use of 'aye' a few times (ooo, he's sooo Scottish) and maybe mentioning haggis once, and Barbecue's references to pizza... but he could just as easily be Italian-American!

For me Action Force is palitoy through to hasbro. They are different riffs on the same theme (ultimately the 12" gi joe). However what makes action man different from gi joe is that it's British. To me, Flint is British and Action Force maf the most British of the lot as it's mainly based in London. It's very distinct from gi joe
