Re: TKWs Top Ten Custom Poll
i went with your krakens, all your customs are great but the krakens are genius, perfect choice of body & you got the legs right, havent seen these done before & thats something you dont get that very often with customs.
perfect work mate, perfect work.

Just echoing what Paul said mate. I feel that you've captured the original spirit of the Palitoy line in your new customs. Top effort! Went for the Hurricane after loads of thought. Also mate you might have been asked before but what paint do you use for the Z force green?

Re: TKWs Top Ten Custom Poll
Cheers Paul. As always the nice comments make it that little bit more worthwhile. The figures usually take a few nights or a weekend to complete, usually waiting for the paint to dry is the longest part... Vehicles can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depends how motivated i feel at the time... Usually the first one is about a week then if I do multiples they can take a few weeks as im not as keen to get them finished...paul wrote:-
Kraks,
This is just SO good!
I can only repeat from what everyone has said.
I'm such a fan...
Everything looks production finish.
It's as if it's 1984 and these have just come fresh off the Palitoy production line.
In a perfect world Indy Dave would find all of this stuff just as it is in some Palitoy ex-employee's attic. In multiples. So we could all have one each.
I have no idea what to vote for.
I'll sleep on it till tomorrow. The Tomahawk is just outstanding [I just had to vote for that in the June comp, hands down winner in my opinion...], the Shadow Troop Transporter, the Tank Transporter... they are all so perfect and beautiful in my eyes.
Clearly we have very similar tastes.
Any chance you could shed a bit more light on your creations?
How long did they take to make?
How much were the base vehicles to buy?
Recipes for figures?
It's all so very interesting. If I win the lottery, you can retire and I'll commission you to make me custom vehicles for a living!

The base vehicles were around 20 quid up to 40 for the hurricane once shipping was included, plan to get a couple more of those but hopefully cheaper...
Still got a fair few customs not posted, most of the original Z Force characters are complete except Doc which I need a medic case for and still a fair few of the comic characters to go, ive got about 30 custom figures in progress, mainly army builders but it drives my girlfriend mad with all the bags of bits in the living room...
Everything has stopped at the moment as im trying to get my barons lab done for the custom contest if it happens, not sure how its going to turn out at the moment as its just a lego shell but im going to add the "cave" walls tomorrow then all the other bits can go in...
Thanks for everyones comments

Re: TKWs Top Ten Custom Poll
I'm not wanting to hijack TKW'S poll but I have put mine up for voting there a mix of GI Joe and AF characters and vehicles. Your poll was very hard to vote on Kraken keep up the good work.
Spock, where the hell's the power you promised?
