New Shadow troops

Red Vulture,
Thought that Red Vulture deserved to stand out from the regular Shads so used Shad body and just put on some Red Wolf arms and legs and cut off the hip pouches, added a little extra black paint. At least he can use both hands to drive the Shadow Track.

Red Hornet,
Red Wolf always needed a little back up in space, so Red Hornet is his man. Red Wolf body, Shadow arms so he can grip a gun better, Muton legs to add a bit of weight to the figure, Deep Sea Defenders backpack for the jet propulsion and breathing gear, some storm trooper gun to give a spacey feel to the weopon.

Red Shadow Tactical Space Assault Trooper
Codename: Red Hornet
Name: Pieter Vorster
Born: Nelspruit, Republic of South Africa
Primary Military Specialty: Tactical Space Assault
Secondary Military Specialty: Space Sabotage
Biography: A former member of the South African Special Forces, Red Hornet was a brilliant soldier and swiftly recruited into Action Force, but due to his extreme political views quickly fell out of favour and went AWOL before he could be discharged. Became a mercenary for a while, and was recruited into the Shadows sometime later. Quickly rose the ranks and saw to it that he was selected for Shadow space duties, becoming a specialised space assault trooper

At last! I always felt that Red Vulture got a raw deal (and Palitoy did him on the cheap) when he looked like a shadow, and didn't have straight arms to drive his 'Trak'.

I think I'll keep a look out for a Red Wolf to modify one of my Shads. Many thanks for the inspiration.

Nice!!

Mind If I make a couple of these guys?

I'd thought about the Red Wolf variation, but having already dismembered one of them I was loath to kill another one, but the results are worth it!
It's good to be back

AWESOME is the only word that will do, these are the sort of customs i like, using original AF parts to come up with new figures.

RED VULTURE is excellent he really looks the part with his drivers gauntlets

i've often wondered what to do with the parts from MUTON :muton: as he is cheap and plentiful and now i am inspired. i hope you don't mind if i pinch your idea and knock a few of these guys up.

hope to see more soon.......andy

Nice job, welldone. That Red Vulture looks way better than his original. With only that little change. That Red Hornet is indeed a nice addition to the Red Shadows Air Force.

But now that you are making the Red Vultere more with black lining. Maybe you could also do the boots again because they still have red spots on them.

Great arm change. 8)

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
I noticed the red chips on the boots and grenades but only after submitting pics. maybe i could just say that they are drops of blood, lol.
It'll be great to see a whole new generation of Action Force troops being made, it must be the easiest thing in the world to swap a couple of legs and arms over, and the results are cool new troops.
The people in design at Palitoy must've had a great job playing and attaching new body parts to different figures. Even without that many new parts or molds the out comes are near endless.

True, I've done a fair bit of swapping with Z Force bodies to create a couple of dozen infantrymen with plenty of variation. I'll get them on parade and post a pic.

Problem for me is that I always seem to f*** up the figure! How do I properly open a body? I tried it a couple of times with Q Force figures, my Shads are too precious, but I cannot seem to manage to open them properly. What's the trick?
