A Package Arrived!

Post by LDR »

Look what was on my door step. I can see why the postie didnt ring the doorbell, looks like someones stepped on it!

The back also has a nice dent in it:

I asked the seller to pack well and make sure the bubbles had protection around them to help stop them bursting. Inside you can see they have used minimal packing.

On inspection blowtorch has quite few more dents, and Duke has a creased card, where the box was damaged on the back.

I've had quite a few problems with people packing Action Force figures, seem they dont take as much care as star wars dealers/sellers. This is the third figure i've had with bubble problems due to poor packing.

Anyway, i still like Duke. Blowtorch i decided would be a good candidate for my blowing technique (oooeeeer), so i'll add my results to the blowing thread!

I had someone send me a German Eisenblut in a jiffy bag with a couple pieces of card board on either side to act as protection!
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

When buying from a 'non professional' seller this can happen easily and you should accept it. 'Normal' people don't have a clue there are 'idiots' like us who care about the packaging.

If it is a power seller, I would drop a complaint. This type of seller should know better.

That's painful, I've been sent a few carded figures in jiffy bags in the past, needless to say there was one in particular that might just aswell have been removed and then shipped.

A couple years ago there was a UK seller named business_1 that had a lot of MISB Action Force vehicles for sale. I bought the Laser Exterminator and Hyena and they started off in great condition but he didn't pack them very well. He shipped to the United States wrapped in brown shipping paper and stacked on top of each other. The packages arrived but the toy boxes were garbage. Luckily the contents were undamaged. I was going to open them anyway. Does anyone else remember this seller? He had multiples of most vehicles sealed.

There was a thread about him a long while back, he started off by selling his till / cash register and then all his old shop stock, it wasn`t only action force but Action Man and loads of the old 80`s toys in his listings.

He was making a bit of a killing on the A.F with loads of items, but in the end he had a shed load of negatives for taking money but not sending any items.
I bought a few boxed items from him and he packed them the same way, both together with the ever protective brown paper to stop any damage.

I recognise 3 people who left negs including me, I think something must have happened to him as there was only one person who didn't get all his money back.

It wouldn't surprise me if there is a warehouse in .......... which still has more stuff in it waiting to be discovered and would probably have been sold by (I think his name was carl) buisness.1.

He didn't come accross as a scammer and if he was he would have cleared his paypal account which makes me more inclined to belive that unfortunately something did acctually happen to him.

I have even been thinking of going to ........... to find this bloomin warehouse or old shop as it is not that far away from me  :stalker:
