I may be well behind with this, so apologies if so, but has anyone else seen the Action Man classics tribute stuff? Due to an unfortunate incident with cold weather and chipped car windscreens I had a few hours to kill around Meadowhall yesterday whilst Autoglass made my car smell of glue, and I was going in all of the shops the missus normally drags me past, and in ModelZone they had a cabinet full of them.
They look excellent, and aren't too badly priced at £40 for the Action Man, costume and accessories (such as parachute etc). SAS chap is particularly good (I still have my old one from when i were a lad though!) as is the scuba diver (although he's got a black wetsuit, rather the orange I preferred).
Look excellent, and it was a real struggle to leave there empty handed!

Re: Action Man Tribute Range
I have just been restoring my Toltoys Action Man, going quite well. Most of the stuff is in reasonable nick. Modern Action Men can be got for a song these days. I originally had 2 AM's. One eagle eyed and one flocked hair. One was a basic figure and the EE was the British red beret. I also had the DUKW car. Its one of the reasons I noticed Action Force when BAF took them on and started me on the road to ruin.
Got about 10 toltoys uniforms and just scored a marines uniform for 99c on evilbay. I had to put AM on hold for a bit while I scrape up a few Action Force bits and bobs.
Getting a heap of fastcgi errors this morning, hopefully this will post. Anyway Action Man rocks I always wanted the SAS uniform, never did get that one and now they are worth a fortune. Fire that time machine up sunshine

Re: Action Man Tribute Range
Wouldn't it be great if the manufactures of the 40th range could make A.F. uniforms for the new action men,how easy would it be to put a S.A.S.force badge on the new kit..? Maybe some one's already done that in the customs section,if not..hows about turning late issue A.M. para into a z-force captain?
Come to think about it..if you give the M.P.'s cap a 'death or glory' lancers badge (from the officer),instant Black Major!!!

More news, as its made, from new Action Force!
Re: Action Man Tribute Range
the sas is very much like an action force squad leader. Unfortunately my divers orange rubber suit has set rock hard over the last 25 years! Anyone got any tips for reattaching heads? My chapsseem to have lost theirs over the years! Most un-action man like!!!

Re: Action Man Tribute Range
I'd considered mocking up a 12" Action Force figure. I have a few uniforms etc to play with there. I might do that. Baron Ironblood wouldn't be too hard.
Steve, I used this as a basic repair guide. Toltoys AM's were different but the principals the same;
