new models

Post by scoobydie »

If Hasbro have the ability to recreate the classic molds from the good old days,
The F.A.N.G goes quite far back

Could the Wolverine be coming soon?
If they have the old Palitoy molds, what are the chances of the old A.F being ressurected too.

From I what I remember hearing is that the missile launcher turret of the wolverine is long missing.

Has anybody bought some of the new models?
Are they the same as the old, the C.L.A.W. seems to have different handle bars.

Most so far are the same with some slight additions or changes to accomodate the 25th style figures. The Claw, like Zartans swamp skier is a complete resculpt, not sure if this is due to parts or all of the original mould going missing.

Im looking forward to seeing the Water Moccasin, that is one where it looks like big improvements have been made.

Man, that piece of kit had to be the flimsiest...flimsyes...ahem, the most likely thing to break in my AF and Cobra collection back in the day. I was always using glue to fix the handle bars or wheels.

I love the original claw! I did get frustrated with it when I was a kid as the handlebars nevwer seemed to sit properly and things kept dropping off... But its great!

Pleased it wasn' just me! Mine was constantly in bits. Still is these days.

I was just thinking this the other night as I tried to put my Whale together without breaking bits. Those later AF/Cobra vehicles were pretty weak when you consider they were meant as action toys, for destructive young lads like us to play with! Not like the earlier range - my SAS para had thousands of jumps under his belt, and other than a brief visit to the fishpond and a short stay on the shed roof, is still as good as new today! And as for the Muton....
