An old thread, but oh lordy, that was an ordeal, I work in a domain registrar and hosting company and that level of customer service is shocking. Being honest had it gone on for a week I'd have called you to resolve the issue. A few options that were omitted on you there as well.
If you ever have trouble or need to move your domain or hosting again let me know, same if you want any of the techno mumbo they're throwing at you explained.
I might have to show this thread to my boss so we can feel good about ourselves, a shame to have lost the later responses for the resolution, but on the upside I'm getting some Zoid goodness in now.
