Having heard Marvel is supposed to be getting the Star Wars license from Dark Horse I decided to get the first omnibus of Marvel reprints.
I do remember having an issue which was black and white of the UK comic and Seeker 3000 was a backup story I was wondering was the UK title US reprints only or did it have UK original material?

Hi Andy,
I think that there were some U.K. stories, but they verged into the more surreal realms of fantasy that had very little to do anything we'd recognise (today) as Star Wars.
(t.b.h.) The early Marvel comics, from what I can remember, were very 'of their time' featuring stories with aliens who resemble human sized rabbits & (almost retro) Buck Rogers style art work, but fun never or less.
The original (70's) comic book adaptation of A New Hope's great & well worth tracking down. Being produced before the movies release, it's probably the purest form of the original story.. alongside the novel.. as it features lots of scenes which were left on the cutting room floor, plus, a lot of visuals are based directly upon the concept art.

Re: A Galaxy far, far away....
The issue I had featured a flashback story with biggs and luke hunting womprats in beggars canyon when tusken raiders attacked them and a few farmsteads so I was hoping it was a US story I would get to see in full colour.

I'm pretty sure the rabbit was intended as an expy of Bucky O'Hare. At least he was the same color.

I got the volume and it contains the story I mentioned it was US issue #17 what I didn't know was that the movie adaptation was based on the George Lucas novel it has Jabba as a two legged humanoid and luke at Anchorhead after the Tantive IV was taken at the start of the story.
