Aha, I see. IIRC The Toltoys version was vinyl caped only, I didn't know the Palitoy one was rare. I still love the original 12, so many great Christmases.
Let me tell you, Gunner La-De-Dah Graham, the British Army can fight anything! Intimate or not!

I'd say these are enough to re-enact Episode 4 in Diorama form!

Me too, I was always under the assumption Palitoy hadn't started importing Star Wars figures until many months after Kenner's had stated selling then in the States... certainly long enough, after the change, for all of the supplies to have dried up.

Could these vinyl caped Jawas of been very early production samples, to be displayed at toy fairs or their company reps to show to retailers?

So much has been said about this Jawa and there is no definitive answer. I tend to agree that this was an early production piece that found its way out of the factory. Go to Rebel Scum and there are pages of discussion.

So thats where the first Palitoy Jawa went then. I saw the last one that Vectis were pendling and while its is a nice piece I think the prices are far too driven by trends at the moment. Nice collection though, it must be satisfying to finally have the complete set.
