Dodgy eBay Seller

Post by Graham_UK »

Hey guys, Just a heads up about a new eBay seller that seems to have (I don't like using the term "Scammed" so i'm going to say "mis-lead") I noticed last Friday what could have been the making of the deal of the Century, a MOC Cobra De Aco with a starting bid of £50 on a 3 day auction.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141110037465? ... 1438.l2649

I'm going to be honest and say I contacted her to try for a deal out of eBay, long story short she said that her son had worked in Brazil for nearly 30 years, he'd sent it back ages ago with a couple other figures for the husband who was the collector and now wanted to sell. For those that don't know a MOC De Aco can fetch up to £3000, She never replied but pulled the figure a day later and sent me a message to say she wanted to verify it?

Via Facebook I know a gent named Dennis Minjoot, he put up a message saying buyer beware, she was using photos from a true auction that had finished a while back, he'd sent her £250 (He'd worked a deal) and she'd refunded it saying she needed it as "Friends & family". Now I don't find that dodgy but it turns out she's got several eBay accounts all trying to sell the same figure, there's a few others who it sounds like may have sent her money too, like I said I don't want to use the term scammed but it looks like there's something going on!

I've been told this is the same user, again it's a copied photo:
