1992 was a bumper year for bright colours and a broad range of new gimmicks. Hasbro were attempting to evolve the brand and also keep pace with current trends and competing toy lines such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. More traditional military figures were on the wane, and the line delved deeper into sci-fi and novel accessories.
