1983-1985 was a rough time for me as a kid, my parents had separated and my baby sister had died. Everyone only ever did their very best, but we were all heartbroken. I think my little world of Action Force and Lego and comic books was essential, it was my own place. When the Red Shadows line was axed and the comic changed direction, I was gutted, and I think that the grief from that era of my life has always been mingled with it.
