WATT & TSATT Vehicle Prototype Packaging

Post by Dave Tree »

Looking at toyarchive.de/att/, I noticed there were no loose pictures of the TSATT Swordfish, so I'm hoping this will be of interest;

This may well be a prototype mock up as the logo's are rub transfers, but having no loose production shots to compare with, I'm unable to tell.
Does anyone have a loose one?

These boxes look to be the prototype packaging too, with the logo's 'transfers' rather than printing. The Cosmic Cruiser is pretty cool as it's listed as a picture box at http://toyarchive.de/att/watt/raumgleiter.htm rather than a window.

This has been the only German stuff I've been able to find so far, but pretty cool huh?

Dave.

I'm so cultured - and blind - the text isn't in German, but a mix, so they are defo packaging mock-ups for the line.

Brilliant DAve. Are these from the vault too? Or are these in your own collection?
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Being a crown servant I wonder if she'd let me have a play (with the toys that is!)?

All you have to do is pay her chauffeur £1000 and apparently you can play with anything

That Swordfish is definitely the UK one, with German stickers.

I have the German one and despite being the same, they are quite different, if you get my drift.

The plastic of the German one is the same colours as the Sealion:

.

Not sure on this Dave.

Jonesy gave us a photo of his boxed german SAS Panther a few month's back and that box was the same.

It has the german logo as a transfer upon the package.

Maybe they were all like that? Who knows...

Your the man for the job Indy!

Hey Paul, did you ever take that shot of the TSATT Swordfish alongside the Sealion?

Hey, what IS Leviathan doing with his prong in that second photo??

I haven't Baron, but if you want one I can get it done on the weekend for you.

The colour scheme is interesting from a toy-geek perspective, like some of us are.... :doc: :doc:

Personally, I think it would make a nice sub-comment in the archive to mention that the German Swordfish colour matches the Sea Lion with the white[ish] and black[ish] colour schemes and yet strange that the UK original doesn't...
