Look what Santa brought me today...

Post by paulitoy »

Had 3 lovely series 1 moc's in the post today - as Homer would say, 'Woo-Hoo!'

It brings my series 1's up to 10 [ten!] - I thought I'd have no chance of completing this run. I still may not, but I'm up to 10 out of 15 which is way better than I thought I'd be able to get.

I don't expect many Jungle Fighters to crop up for sale any time soon, but you never know! I'm a lot more optimistic now, maybe its the Christmas wine...

Series 1:

1. Arctic Assault
2. British Marine
3. Desert Rat
4. Frogman
5. German Stormtrooper
6. Mission Pilot
7. Naval Assault
8. Night Patrol
9. SAS Frogman
10. SAS Trooper

Still Need:

11. British 2 Para
12. Commando
13. Ground Assault
14. Helicopter Pilot
15. Jungle Fighter

Obviously if anyone has any of these remaining 5, or knows anyone that might be tempted to part with them, please lmk....

Outstanding Paul! The Night Patrol is my favourite Series 1 Figure.

I see what you mean about the depth of the cases, they look a touch wider as well. The Uk graders people have put some more cases on for sale on ebay again.
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Wow - that's an impressive set mate. I've never seen a night patrol for sale, so amazed you got one. Was that on Ebay?

I have a ground assault - possibly two - I need to sort the collection out. It will take me a good few weeks to know, but if I have a spare I will let you know.

Steve, that would be superb! You've got me hoping now!

Can I ask how you happen to have 2? And indeed so much stuff that you're not even sure how much you have. The SAS Para Attack that I had from you a while back was the same, you had multipes and had to do a bit of searching to find it.

Did you buy vast collections or unsold shop-stocks years ago and just lost track of everything that you picked up?

It just amazes me. Not that I'm complaining of course!

In my old flat (which I shared) I used to stash everything in boxes in every available nook and cranny, with no list or records of what I had. So as years went by I got some accidental multiples - sometimes as bulk buys to get one or two figures from a lot, other times just me making a mistake. Stuff like the SAS Para I have no idea how I forgot i already had one - I think I got it into my head that I had boat patrol, when really it was Para I already had.

Even in the place I've lived for the last year it's all been stashed in the loft, but I've started cataloguing at least.

Sometimes I just buy a duplicate if I think it's in better condition than the one I already have, and then never get round to selling the poorer condition one.

The collection is once more on it's travels - all stashed in packing boxes at new house, whilst I'm still living at old house for the next few days. Can't wait to unpack it in weeks to come! So, if anyone wants to burgle new house the address is ...........................................................
