Evening all

I have been toying with this for some time, and I am last happy with it. I have also linked it to my grand Phasing of Palitoy Action Force release dates, and general geekiness that you have occasionally been witness to!

I should also state that this is a collaborative effort, built on the work of not just me, but everyone on the site - in particular I should mention OllyOrc and Coosbay_pirate, who have done massive work on this. It should also be pointed out that this was all built on SteveD's work on the Variant Mailaway - so any mistakes are squarely his and his alone!

The final matrix is in no way complete - I think it will take many years to complete properly, and even then...
So what you read now is just the bare bones, the full Hopper Matrix and the actual phasing/dates of production will follow soon, and even then it will be subject to change.
So, ladies and gentlemen - the list and description of cardbacks:

Including Series 1, (and excluding Series 3), there are 26 different cardbacks in total.
I have given each a number (Type 1, Type 2, etc.) so that they can be identified easily in the discussions that will inevitably follow:
It also includes the Large Cardbacks that some vehicles came on.

Series 1
Type 1 = English title with English wording in the star (Collect Them All), silver 'scratch' medal number.
Type 2 = English title with English wording in the star (Collect Them All), printed medal number.
Type 2a = Same as Type 2, but with Yellow Spanish language sticker “Puedes ganar otra figura. Pide tu tarjeta. Rasca y gana!”
Type 3 = English title with French and Dutch wording in the star (Collectionne les tous, Verzamel alle figuurtjes)
Type 4 = Spanish title with Spanish wording in the star (Collecionalos)
Type 5 = Large cardback - English & Spanish title with English, French, Dutch, Spanish in the star.
Type 6 = Large cardback - English & Spanish title. There is no star.

Series 2
Type 7 = English title with English White Star (Look Out For The Exciting Action Force Comic On Sale). Bubble Feet, Commander offer (Left). Prototype - only 1 known example, variants on back photograph
Type 8 = English title with English White Star (Look Out For The Exciting Action Force Comic On Sale). Bubble Feet, Commander offer (Left)

Type 27 = English title, English & Italian boxes. Yellow sticker "New action-jointed figure".
Type 28 = English or English & Spanish title, French & Spanish boxes. Yellow sticker "Nouveau entierement articule".
Type 29 = English or English & Finnish title, Swedish & Finish boxes. No sticker.
Type 30 = English title, English & Italian boxes. Single bubble, no sticker.

That's it!
I shall post the actual matrix listing all of the figures and all of the cards they appear on at a later date (I need to work out how to convert it to post it - I may just have to take a screen shot), but if anyone want a copy of the XL spreadsheet, PM me and I'll email it to you.

And as always, if anyone knows anything different from what I have posted, anything new, or anything I have got wrong, let me know. And if anyone has a cardback that is not listed, absolutely post it with photographs!
