Interestingly, going through some old posts and came across this

viewtopic.php?f=77&t=13255

Which is exactly the same as mine (mine's better, obviously!)
Bizarre I don't remember it, but it fills in some blanks, and gives us some ideas about the missing figures - they are:
Series 1 mailaway Commander (13)
Series 2 Mailaway Commander (44)
Series 2 Mailaway Skeletron (45)

This makes sense from a sequential perspective - Kraken, also a mailaway, but who later got carded, is number 46.
I'm buying it, anyway!

Can anyone confirm the AF7 actually has a medal, and why only AF7, not the others (perhaps it came with a figure, and thus, it is the figure that has the number)

Any help with the B numbers would be greatly appreciated.

Excellent, the blanks are filling fast.

Interestingly, Coosbay_pirate drew something to my attention. On one of his cardbacks (Desert Rat) it seems that the medal number was originally covered by the sort of silver stuff you get on scratchcards, like it had to be scratched off in order to reveal the number underneath.

I had noticed something similar on one of my own cardbacks (Commando), but had dismissed it as someone drawing with a silver pen. Closer inspection reveals that mine too once had a silver covering.

Anyone else know of a cardback with something similar? We have these two only so far, but I bet there are others.

All input welcome, and indeed encouraged.

Yes, I have too much time on my hands (school broke up for summer!)

Running through the numbers, then... incomplete though they are
There are three groups:

B1091
B1095
B1096
B1098
B1099
B1100

Then:
B1500
B1501
B1504

And finally:
B1526
B1528
B1530

So, in the words of De La Soul, Three is the magic number (what does it all mean?)

Splendid! Very interesting to see those clusters. Wonder where it will all lead ...

Indeed. The gaps are almost more important! More research needed.

Can anyone help get the last few numbers?

Mr Pirate sir, you are a star

Thanks.

Now, we only have a few more to go.
C'mon chaps, last remaining numbers... we can do this.
And what about the scratch off stuff? Anyone else have that on the back?

This is the back of a German Trooper from a Palitoy Salesman.

Notice the medal is actually '9' with silver and a written '8' over the top
