Re-checking my figures, and I came across this hand variant in the SAS Pilot figure.
It is found in the left hand, with one being more angular or round (Type 1, left in photo), and the other is flatter (Type 2, right in photo).
I have only seen this on the Yellow Helmet version, though I think we can safely assume that it is also present on the Green Helmet version.
thus, we now have four variants of the Pilot Figure:
Pilot T1 - Yellow helmet visor - round hand
Pilot T2 - Yellow helmet visor - flat hand
Pilot T3 - Green helmet visor - round hand
Pilot T4 - Green helmet visor - flat hand
The two types occur quite frequently, so they appear to be real variants, rather than a mutation or mis-pouring of the plastic.
The two types of hand are found in other figures as well, but none (so far) have examples of both in the same figure, so no more new variants.
What is interesting about this (and I realise I am using the term interesting in the loosest of possible senses) is that they both show the different painting techniques used by Palitoy on the SAS figures.
I will post some more about this in another post, as I think its quite important in our getting to know the history of Action Force.

Re: SAS Pilot - Variant.
Here's a photo of the hand detail.
Type 1 is right in photo, Type 2 is left - just to confuse you further!
Any thoughts or comments?
