Thanks man, that's really helpful! But now the thought of scanning all the Marvel UK stories except for the monthlies feels a bit... half-hearted. I'm really in two minds aboiut putting the Marvel stuff on BFTB, the stories end on such a climax with Deep Cover, I don't know if they'd be out of place...

I think she meant to make your own glasses, but hey I could always glue a piece of green cellophane to my scanner... glueing it directly to my PC screen wouldn't be very sensible. I shall delve. Now I've got visions of myself eating chocolates and glueing sweet wrappers to my comics. Been faffing ab...

As far as they were concerned they broke the back of the Shadow movement. Add to this the later resurgence of the Shadows and you can see why they didn't j...

There was also quite a distinct difference between The Red shadows and the Cobra Troopers, being that the Shads were all brainwashed. Mindless minions with no will of their own, whereas the Cobra Troopers, like you say, were mercenaries. I always thought this was the most chilling aspect of the Shad...

There was never really a struggle between Transformers and Action Force, Transformers started its run over three years before Marvel acquired the Action Force rights. If anything, I suspect the struggle was between Battle Action Force and Action Force, and their loyal fanbase. I've always loved the ...

For the record, European Missions never reprinted any Battle stories. Someone decided to give the comic rights to Marvel UK, and swiped them from Battle. (The first Battle issue sans AF had the cover "UK Warship Fires On UK Helicoptor!!!" from Day Of The Jackal. Ahem.) Battle had big plans for their...

Z Force Sapperman

Has anyone else noticed how the comic keeps confusing Tracker with the Infantryman? In the Codename: Tracker story, he's drawn as an Infantryman, and again on his Datafile, while the Infantryman one has a Sapper pictured! Very weird, but having throught about it, it does make sense. The Sapper figur...
