Back on October 26, 2004, Lady Jaye posted Did this forum die or something? This prompted some discussions which lead to the idea of a traveling figure, something interactive with the current active members. After meertoh added his comment “Around the World with Muton Palin,” Muton became the choice for the trip. The idea received much enthusiasm as the thread grew and the thread Travelling Muton was born.

This thread was started the hashing out of the idea, including a name for the trip, the addresses of those interested, and examples of what could be done with the Muton. After my quota of ten people signed up, the idea started looking like a reality. Newseller agreed to supply the Muton and meertoh created the awesome backdrop, dubbing the trip the “Muton World Tour.” This thread also included the first draft of the tour map, which prompted the poll for Muton World Tour map.

On April 12, 2005, the Finishing touches on 'Muton World Tour' began. Thirteen people had shown interest in the trip and another member was added during this thread, bumping the number up to fourteen. Steel Bonnet suggested adding “a little something” to the package, prompting the thread Muton World Tour Have/Wants list, opening it up to anyone on the tour to post things he has or want that could be added in with Muton take it further down the list.

This brings us to the present. Today, May 25, 2005, Muton began his journey. To keep up with Muton’s current position, check out the thread Official Muton World Tour for more information. Thanks to everyone that made this possible and happy touring.
