The Marvel UK Action Force tales were designed to run alongside the US Marvel GI Joe titles. The first 50 issues were weekly and generally consisted of 5 pages of original UK material (with the exception of issue 1 which contained 11 pages), 11 pages of GI Joe reprint material and a further 5 pages of non-related US reprint. The title then become a monthly digest, which ran for 15 issues. These were also printed in the US under the title GI Joe - European Missions. Aside from the title the content is identical. The US reprint storyline was moved to the pages of Transformers weekly, a full list of Marvel UK GI Joe reprints can be found here.
There were 5 holiday specials (which were 100% GI Joe strip) and 5 annuals (which contained a mixture of new UK material and US reprint). These continued to run after the comic was cancelled. In order to keep up with the changing toyline, the 4th annual and 3rd holiday special were printed under the title GI Joe - The Action Force and the 5th annual and 4th and 5th specials as GI Joe. The last three holiday specials are extremely hard to find.
