Z Force "The infantry backbone of Action Force, well supported by heavy armour and artillery" The original wave of Release 2 consisted of four carded figures Captain, Infantryman, Radio Operator and Sapper. These were complemented by the second Mail in offer, the Z Force Commander. Z Force had the widest selection of vehicles, wave 1 included the Attack Cannon, Battletank with exclusive Steeler figure, Rapid Fire Motorcycle with exclusive Quarrel figure, and the Jeep with exclusive Wheels figure. The Battletank, Rapid Fire Motorcycle and Attack Cannon, as well as their associated figures were all repaints of the GI Joe range. The Jeep was a repaint of the original AF-3 jeep. The second wave added two more carded figures, the Medic and Minesweeper. The Minesweeper is now the rarest of the Release 2 figures, it is not known if this rarity was due to limited production, or limited distribution. The second wave also added, as with all the forces, the Battle Gear. The other items added in wave 2 were all repaints of GI Joe items, the ATC and Whirlwind Cannon both came without figures, while the Base came with the exclusive Gaucho and Jammer figures.
